Conception of Space, Landscape and Urbanism in Ancient and Modern Times
The conference intends to focus on the concept of urban space as a result of man’s action on the territory through time. The theme of the city as a collective space, a place of political tensions and cultural ferment, opens up to multiple points of investigation. The intention is to consider the city as the interpretative key to the historical, social and economic evolution of the territory.
The Conference will beginn with the opening lecture of Prof. Daniela Dueck and will continue with three sections devoted to urban space with a special attention to ancient Greek sources and to topics of cartography. In the fourth session three lectures are foreseen, which will broaden the theme of the conference by addressing the topic of urban space in modern times.
Everyone is welcome to attend. If you wish to take part in the Webinar, please express your interest by writing to conceptionofspace@gmail.com You will receive a Zoom link in due course.
