The History of Geology and the Dissemination of Geological Knowledge.
The primary objective of the INHIGEO involves promoting studies in the history of geological disciplines. In so doing, the Commission endeavours to stimulate and coordinate the activities of regional, national, and international organizations having shared purposes. The Commission also works to foster the publication of individual and collective works that illuminate the history of the geological sciences
The symposium in New Delhi will cater for a wide range of contributions dealing with the history of geology. Abstracts are invited on
a) Dissemination of geological knowledge including networking, collecting, accumulating and printing
b) Evolution of handbooks and textbooks
c) Legacy of a continent in contributing to the history of geology
d) Development of geological concepts
e) History of mining or mineralogy
f) Understanding fossils and stratigraphy
g) Understanding of landscapes
h) Understanding of volcanoes and earthquakes
i) Relevance of historical understanding in geology.

The deadline of Super Early Bird Registration is now extended to 31st August 2019.
The revised last date of abstract submission is 15 October 2019
- There is no abstract submission fee till 15 September 2019
- Abstracts submitted between 16 September 2019 and 15 October 2019 will attract a fee of USD 20 or its INR equivalent for the Indians.
