The meeting will be a the Hydrographic Institute of Portugal (Instituto Hidrográfico), located at the Convent of Trinity of Mocambo (Convento das Trinas), in the old district of Madragoa, in Lisbon.
Following the first workshop, which was held in June 2016, this second meeting will focus once more on issues relating to the origin and evolution of nautical cartography, but this time has broadened its scope to consider other aspects of the subject, such as the mutual influence between the medieval portolan charts and traditional cartography.
The admission is free but registration is required by filling the form. Detailed information can be found on the workshop webpage.
